My birthday.
;__; 2 weeks away.
Normally, I don’t like getting older, and don’t ask me why, but The Silver Linings Playbook AND Red Dawn are coming out on MY birthday. So, I’m really excited. X3 Plus, Thanksgiving peeps. I want some food.
I’ll be on tomorrow (: After theatre at the very least. I’ll lurk at the moment till my mom kicks me off. XD
“Yes you are being a smart ass actually. Comes with being Clint’s daughter I’m afraid.. and mixed with my stubbornness…” Natasha couldn’t finish the sentence before a soft chuckle came tumbling from her lips. She really was a mix of Clint and Natasha. It was quite amusing at times.
“And no.. You don’t make my life a living hell..мой дорогой. If anything you make it better.. you’ve made me a better person, Anya.” She finally admitted, placing a comforting hand on her daughter’s shoulder. This perhaps was the most comfort Natasha had ever given her daughter since her and Clint split up. She sometimes wished that wasn’t the case. “Things will be different, Anya. I promise.”
She rolled her eyes. “Sometimes, being a smart-ass is a good thing, mind you,” she commented. It had helped her when she actually attended school, at least.
“Don’t make a promise you can’t keep.” That’s all Anya could say. Making a promise and breaking it is very low in terms if you’re friends with Anya. Everyone has broken promises with her, and she was so sick of that bullshit. “I’m not trying to be rude, but I’d rather say you’ll try and make things different than say ‘I’ll promise thing will be different’ because there’s a difference. If you tried, you tried. If you made a promise and broke it, you’re hurting both yourself and me. So, I’d rather you say you’ll try because that’ll be more comforting.”

Hearing those words come form her mouth was exactly what he needed, and he had to swallow back the lump that had formed in his throat. Throughout all the sadness he had had to deal with in the past two he had thought he’d just been losing her more and more each time he went away for work. But that was who he was - when things got touch he drowned himself in work. That was no excuse for his bad parenting - merely a bad personality trait that he knew he had to change for the sake of his daughter.
Clint swallowed the lump in his throat and averted his eyes to start at his hands which were resting buy his cup on the table. “And I love you more than anything else in the world, Anya. But that won’t make up for all the things I’m missing out on. I promise you I’ll get that time off work…”
She scratched the back of her neck, leaning against her chair. “That would be nice…” Anya she bit her lip. It was only one more year and a half till she was an legal adult. Maybe she should enjoy the time left of being a teenager. Especially since her father is finally reaching out to her. Both have been through quite a rough time, maybe it’s time they take a break from madness. “Just… Don’t piss off Fury while you try and get that time off,” she joked. “Although, if he does get pissed off, please video tape that for me, because I’d love to see that.”
